I would like to vote that the you name the whirlpool charybdas. This is of course in now way original and taken directly from Mythology, but it will add an epic quality to your voyage. To think you’ll come back from Japan a sea-man.

Other suggested ship names: The Mongoose (yeah! That’s a cool team name!). The Dawn Treader. The Valkyrie. The S.S. Hufflepuff. The S.S. Tom Waits. The S.S. Tom Waits for no man. The U.S.S. Enterprise. The U.S.S. U.S.S.R. The S.S. G.O.B. (Bluth). The Red Pearl.
